Didn't you have a different name before?

  • We did! We were called "Dirigo and Co." before!! Dirigo means "I lead" and we wanted to inspire people to lead their true, authentic lives. It served it's purpose, but we felt lead to change the name to something that resonates with us a little more.

Where did the new name come from?

  • From Mary Oliver's poem titled Wild Geese!! This poem really inspires us to live lives true to ourselves. It encourages us to do the damn thing, even if we don't do it as well as we had originally hoped. It inspires us to not compare our wins to others, but rather celebrate all of them. It encourages inclusivity and acceptance. 

It was important to us to find a name that really embodied this change that the company went through. The shift from Abby and Brendoo to Abby and Rachael (girl power!!) We still love Brendoo, don't worry! But this name had to come from a place that both of us really identified with. The outdoors are a place of solace and comfort for both of us, so why not pick a name that really demonstrates the importance of finding your true self and letting the outdoors guide you.

What is a styling fee?

  • The styling fee is what we charge for the curation of your box. We sit down and hand pick items for each box (so they're all different!!)
  • We have you fill out a questionnaire before ordering your box. When your order comes in, we review your answer and use that information to guide us in picking the best gear for you!!

How often do I get a box?

  • Quarterly! We do seasonal boxes! Winter, Spring, Summer, & Fall

How does the styling fee work?

  • The styling fee goes towards the purchase of your box. 
  • So, if your styling fee was $30 and the total cost of your box is $200, your total would be $170.
  • $200 (total) - $30 (styling fee) = $170 

How much does each box cost?

  • The total cost of the box is dependant on what you decide to keep. Because each box is hand curated just for you, they items inside will vary! We have partnered with several brands, so different products from all kinds of brands will be featured throughout the boxes! 

What brands are you partnered with?

  • Cotopaxi, Wondery Outdoors, Topo Designs, Coalatree, FlynnCostello, Darn Tough Vermont, Toad & Co., SamBob, Belong Designs, Parks Project, Squak Mountain, Birdy Bandanas, PrAna, Mountain Hardware, Columbia, Kula Cloth,  & Wear Dirt. 
  • We are always looking for brnads to partner with, so feel free to reach out and let us know who you want to see in our boxes! And if you are a brand, reach out and tell us to feature your gear!!

How do returns/exchanges work?

  • Soooooo easy! 
  • For Returns: We will include a return shipping label in your box and a strip of tape. Use that and the original shipping box (hello eco friendly!) to ship that back to us and we will process the return.
  • For exchanges: Same process as above, but we recommend reaching out to us before to make sure we have the item you're wanting in stock!

Can I pick what goes in my box?

  • Short answer: yes. Before sending out your box, you will receive an email with a "sneak peek." You can click the link there to see what we've picked for you and swap out any item for existing inventory on our site!
  • If you'd rather it be a surprise, just don't click the link!! (that's my preferred method)

What if I want MORE?

  • Don't we all! You can select the mystery box option and your size and we can curate a mystery box for you based on our existing inventory! These boxes are final sale.
  • You can also shop our inventory and add any item to an existing box order to cut down on shipping costs!
